Homewood’s ethos is all about the best of British home-cooked food, served in elegant yet relaxed surrounds – in the restaurant, sitting rooms or out on the terrace – with warm hosting and local provenance at its heart. Our executive chef, Jamie and his team, love nothing more than seeking out the best local ingredients to create beautifully-presented dishes you really want to eat, using local produce at its peak and treating ingredients simply. From the finest cuts of meat to super fresh seafood and home-grown veg, dishes are designed with maximum flavour in mind.
Breakfast of champions
Start your day in the best possible way
Breakfast at Homewood is homely and relaxed and served in the elegant surroundings of our restaurant, or out on the terrace if the weather allows. Help yourself to the varied selection from the breakfast table – think cereals, granola, fresh fruits, pastries, cheeses, cured meats and fresh juices – or really set yourself up for the day and order something freshly-cooked to order from the kitchen.
Monday to Friday - 7.30-10am
Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays - 8-10.30am
Lunchtime dining in style
Make time for lunch
Our light-filled restaurant, serene sitting rooms and lovely terrace make the perfect leafy spot for a delicious lunch, just outside of Bath. From seasonal soups and salads to flatbread pizzas or the full three courses, you'll find plenty to suit your mood or occasion. Our indulgent Sunday lunch is one to book ahead for.
* Please note that from 30th March our restaurant will be closed for lunch Monday to Friday, however our bar menu will be served every day.
Indulge in tea and cake
Treat yourself to afternoon tea
We can’t think of many better ways to catch up with loved ones or friends than over freshly-baked cakes, scones with clotted cream and jam, delicate sandwiches, savoury favourites and a proper pot of loose-leaf tea.
Served between 3pm and 5pm daily, choose between our traditional cream tea, classic afternoon tea or make it extra special with a glass (or two) of champagne. We also offer vegan and gluten free afternoon teas on request, which need to be booked in advance.
Supper’s on the table
Whether you’re in the mood for a cosy dinner for two, a family feast or a light supper, Homewood’s modern British dishes have local provenance at their heart. Our seasonal menu focuses on the best produce from trusted local suppliers, such as beautiful cuts of meat and the freshest fish and seafood – cooked simply to let the quality of the ingredients shine – and deliciously nostalgic desserts. You can expect a light-filled restaurant, accented with luxurious marble, statement art and planting, with warm hosting to match.
Drinks and cocktails
When the clock strikes 5pm…
The cuckoo’s call will let you know that it’s time for your perfectly-mixed G&T. Whatever your favourite tipple, the bar at Homewood is well stocked with everything from English fizz to fine wines, local beers and ciders, and creative cocktails inspired by the English countryside are a particular speciality. Comfortable, eclectic and full of cosy corners, drop in for drinks and snacks in front of the fire and kick back and enjoy a taste of the good life.
