Ever wondered what really goes on inside a beehive, how those busy bees make all that golden goodness, or what it takes to be a beekeeper? This is your opportunity to learn! This experience is perfect for anyone with a buzzing curiosity about bees – no prior experience required, just bring your enthusiasm!
This four-hour adventure is packed with all things bees, split into fun theory and hands-on practical sessions. Whether you're flying solo, coming as a duo, or bringing the whole swarm, there's something for everyone.
This experience takes place every other Saturday, starting 7th June.
- 11am-12:30pm: Intro to the world of bees
- Discover the fascinating biology of bees, meet the queen, workers, and drones, and learn how they create honey, royal jelly, and beeswax. We'll also explore the secrets of the beehive and the essential tools of beekeeping.
- 12:30-1:30pm: Two-course sharing lunch
- 1:30-3:00pm: Hands-on hive time
- Get up close and personal as you learn safe handling techniques, identify different bees inside the hive, and understand basic hive management and the various roles bees play in their colony.
